So, my newest obsession is Trader Joe's. They are cheaper than Whole Foods but have lots of organic foods as well. I just love finding new items there to experiment with. And the track record has been pretty good so far!
This may be bad news for my local Indian restaurants, but I swear that Trader Joe's is owned by an Indian company. If you like Chicken Tikka Masala then try "Butter Chicken with Basmati Rice" ($2.99) or "Chicken Tikka Masala" ($3.49) in the freezer entree section. I don't know why the latter is more expensive when it is smaller than the Butter Chicken. The "Paneer Tikka Masala" is filled with strong flavors. All are delicious and just the right amount. Get the Tandoori Naan ($1.99) to go along with it and you have a meal! The Naan is amazing. I bought the "Cilantro Salad Dressing" ($3.49) in the veggie section and it was the perfect dip for the naan. Yummy!
The TJ brand yogurt (Strawberry/Banana) is really good, too. For 6 containers it is $2.99 and my kids love it. It is thicker than Yoplait and so it doesn't make a big mess when my son eats it.
My friend recommended the Chicken Teriyaki BBQ in the frozen section ($4.99). I have yet to try it but I have tried the Mandarin Chicken and loved that.
The Spicy Soy Flaxseed Tortilla chips ($2.39) are so addictive and I don't feel as guilty giving them to my kids. They're a great replacement for Doritos. The "Sweet Potato Fries" are also a good substitute for regular fries.
"Individual Lemon Tartes" ($3.49 for 2) in the freezer section were delish! I love lemon tarts and these were pretty big. The "Mini Jelly Filled Donuts" ($3.99) are a great snack to have on hand when you want some hot donuts in the middle of the night.
We've tried the "Organic Vegetarian Pizza" ($4.29) and "Pizza Margherita" ($3.99). Both are fresh and delicious. The Organic Vegetarian had a lot more flavor with garlic powder sprinkled on top.
I tried out a slow cooker that I had in my garage for the first time a few weeks ago. I used the "Cabernet Beef Pot Roast" ($12.22 for 2lbs). It turned out a little dry but it tasted ok with some horseradish sauce on the side. I don't know if I would buy this again, though.
Some other things that weren't big hits: "Strawberry Lemonade Juice" was supposed to be natural but I tasted some Splenda-like aftertaste. "Banana Waffles" weren't as good as my Eggo waffles. "Garlic Fries" sounded good but the garlic sauce was too overpowering.
I've heard good things about the dried mango called "Soft & Juicy Mango" because it doesn't use chemicals to dry it out, the pizza dough, frozen cookie dough, frozen spinach pie, and the frozen macaroni and cheese.
Let me know what your favorites are!

I like the frozen BBQ Teriyaki Chicken, too. Also, the Soyaki sauce is good for marinating.

The chicken and the vegetarian pot stickers in the frozen section are a couple of favorites in my house. The frozen turkey meatballs are pretty good. Finally, my daughter's favorite are the frozen Oatmeal cranberry cookie dough.

You need to try the frozen mac-n-cheese. It's to die for!

"My dream is to travel across the U.S.A. and dance in a new place every night!"
Agh! That sounds so cool! If you ever do that (even a mini version), let us know. Meetup could be a great way for you to find dances to attend! =)
In the mean time, I spotted this Meetup Group in your area that might be perfect:
